Have you ever prayed for something that seemed really important… and God said “no” (or at least “not this way”)?
This song started with something that might sound small.
My son, Jaime, was praying that he would be in the same class as his friends for the new school year. Every night we prayed together, reminding him that God cares about every part of our lives—even the little things.
Then the school assignments came out.
None of his friends were in his class.
Watching his disappointment was hard. But what surprised me was that he didn’t complain. He was sad, but he accepted it.
Later that night, after everyone was asleep, my wife and I started asking questions.
“Should I just trust God?”
“Or should I call the principal and ask if they can switch his class?”
“Where does faith end and responsibility begin?”
That’s when something clicked.
Maybe the answer isn’t pray OR act.
Maybe it’s:
🙏 Pray because God is in control.
🚶 Walk by doing what God has placed in your hands.
❤️ Trust Him with the outcome.
Whether the answer is “yes,” “wait,” or “no,” His faithfulness never changes.
I opened my laptop that night, and these three words wouldn’t leave my mind:
Pray. Walk. Trust.
That’s how this song was born.
I hope it reminds you that your confidence isn’t in getting the answer you want—it’s in knowing the God who is leading you.
